Summer is now here, and the fun is in the air.
Reserve your cabin today for the 4th of July, and all the fun before school starts back up.
Broken Bow lake is perfect for fishing, boating and all kinds of water sports.
If you need suggestions on things to do check out our attractions pages for all types of
fun while in our area.
Can’t wait to see you!
I can’t believe that fall is almost here, The summer is almost over. But that doesn’t mean that the fun has stopped. The air might become a little crisper and the wind might bit a little but that doesn’t mean there is not anything to do.
The nature trails become more scenic as does the entire area with the colors of the leaves that change when this time of year approaches. The fall foliage is as breath taking as the area itself. The Talimena National Scenic Drive is one of the many attractions to see when you come and stay in one of the cabins, Walk around the edge of the lake enjoying the sites and Beavers Bend State Park has many activities to enjoy.
After a full days of outdoor fun, a fire pit is the perfect place to for family and friends to become closer, tell stories, roast hot dogs and smokes. If you never been to SE Oklahoma in the fall then there is no better time then now to reserve a cabin and come on out and see what all the fuss is about.
WOW is all I can say about this past weekend, The Owa-Chito Festival was as fun as ever!!!!.
the festival is one of my favorite times of the year. From the different types of food, art shows and I especially enjoyed going to the outdoor event competitions. Congratulations to all the winners out there, heck congratulations to everyone involved!!!
This event is one of the reasons everyone should visit Beavers Bend State Park, If you missed it, you should really make a point to come. This is a yearly event and always fun. The crowds was great and everyone was having a great time.
There is so many things to do in Beavers Bend, If you haven’t came to visit in a while then you need to reserve a cabin and visit soon.
again, the festival was extremely exciting and fun… can’t wait till next year!
The end of May usually means the school year is over and families are looking for ideas to keep everyone busy. So here is a check list of what I recommend :
1. Reserve one of our Broken Bow or Beavers Bend Cabins
2. Pack you car and get here as soon as soon as possible.
Beavers Bend State Park is the perfect vacation getaway, with activities for the whole family. Exploring the wilderness on the hiking and nature trails. You can spend the whole day taking in the scenery.
For those that want to play in the water, you can visit the different parts of the park to rent paddle boats or canoes. If fishing is your cup of tea, then put on your wading boots and step in to the river for some fly fishing fun.
Just when you think you had all the fun you can handle, just wait till you get back to the cabin….
As a kid, I grew up living near Broken Bow Lake, I would love to ride my bike on Stephens Gap Road or Carson Creek road, to one of the different camp areas and admire the different views of the lake, hang out with my friends and go swimming. I would love to watch the boats, people tubing and skiing and to me this was a normal day. It was these simple pleasures that I took for granted. Continue reading
