lake, all cabins are very close and we do not have traffic jams!!! Click

Q.
What is the Physical Address?
A. Hochatown
is a community located outside the city limits of Broken Bow,
Oklahoma. Very few cabins have a physical address and the few that do
are rural addresses that cannot be used on Google or Yahoo maps or
your GPS. (Broken
Bow’s Zip Code is 74728) You
will be sent an e-mail confirmation of your reservation, which will
include driving directions from Broken Bow to your cabin. Please do
not leave home without this e-mail. You can NOT find your cabin
without the written directions. Your confirmation will give you
“landmarks” that you can use in your GPS. I.e.: Hwy 259 & Hwy
259A. These landmarks will get you “close” to your cabin but you
will need to READ
YOUR E-MAIL FOR ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS.

Q.
Where do I check in?
A. Upon making your reservation, we will provide you with your
confirmation and driving directions. In the confirmation you will be
asked to call a few days prior to arrival to obtain the combination
lock code to your cabin. Please drive to your cabin with the
directions provided on your e-mail confirmation and use the
combination lock code to enter your cabin. If your cell phone is
working in our area, we would greatly appreciate a telephone call
upon our arrival.
Q.
Will my cell phone work in the area?
A.
Cell phone coverage is limited. U.S. Cellular and Cingular work best
in our area. Other services are a “hit & miss”.
The Beavers Bend Resort Park area is located in a low area and cell
phone service will not work. Pay phones are available at the two
convenience stores located in the Hochatown area.
Q.
Where can we buy firewood?
A. We
can arrange to have firewood at your cabin upon arrival; additional
fees will apply and can be added to your cabin rental. Additionally
both local convenience stores sell firewood by the rick.
Q. Are
alcoholic beverages sold in area restaurants?
A. In
McCurtain County, it is required that you “bring your own bottle”.
A temporary membership must be purchased and a set-up/corkage fee
will apply per drink served. Abendigos Restaurant is the only
establishment that has a liquor license. Beer and Wine coolers
can be sold at Abendigos, otherwise, bring your own bottle.
Q.
Where is the closest grocery store?
A. The
only grocery store in our area is Pruett’s located on HWY 259 in
Broken Bow. (7-12 miles) There is a Super Wal Mart in Idabel
(18-24 miles). The Frontier General/Phillips 66 Gas Station in the
Hochatown area stocks for campers.
Q.
What cabins have direct access to ATV riding?
A. Some of the best riding trails cannot be accessed from any cabins; which is one reason why they are the best; there are no private lands close to these prime areas. The Ouachita National Forest and the Three Rivers Land surround our cabins; however it is illegal to ride on any roads or cross Hwy 259 on 4-wheelers. We will provide you with land maps and we'll be able to direct you to the "easy riding" areas and the "big boy riding" areas! If you are staying in the Southern Hills area, the gravel roads are designated as county roads. Fines start at $250 per person.
Riding the trails of the Ouachita National Forest is such a great way to explore and enjoy nature at it's finest. Please take time to read the changes that have been made to the limited area that you can ride. Use the appropriate safety gear – helmet (required if under 18), eye protection, boots, and gloves.
Please check with us before coming to ride the roads as some roads are seasonal. The roads available to our guest change without notice as directed by the Forestry. Please call in advance of your stay to check for changes.
